Great attendance for 2015 CLIO Crime User Group in Yorkshire
Tuesday 6th October 2015
West Yorkshire Police Training Headquarters was the venue for the 2015 National CLIO Crime User Group, attended by many delegates from police forces around the country.
DCS Chris Rowley, Head of Protective Services Crime for West Yorkshire Police and the Regional Organised Crime Unit for Yorkshire and the Humber opened the day.
Paul Leonard, SIO Tactical Advisor, HQ Specialist Crime Services, South Yorkshire Police gave an interesting talk on a recent criminal vendetta kidnapping. Paul's presentation provided some useful advice for managing this type of case using CLIO.
Following the networking session Denise Robbins, Intelligence Data Quality/PND Manager & CLIO Lead at West Yorkshire Police gave a well-received talk on the use of CLIO for Child Sexual Exploitation enquiries.
Rob Brigham of Badger Software Ltd presented the new CLIO Disclosure Module. This module is now on trial with a number of Police Forces and early feedback is very encouraging.
Our final speaker was Trevor Banks, Emergency Planner, Resilience Direct and CLIO Administrator at Kent Police who gave a presentation on the use of CLIO for a large co-ordinated raids operation.
Copies of the presentations are available on request, either from Badger Software or the delegates themselves.
